Abstract

The research aims to approach the novel The Duality of the Soul and the Stone Statue by Ali Abu Al-Rish, who built his text on various journeys throughout the narrative, all of which end with a tragic death or the illusion of immortality in a society where male dominance prevails, not only imposed by males , but also contributed to by females unconsciously. In our analysis, we relied on Pierre Bourdieu 's theses contained in his book titled Masculine Dominance, where he discussed the various relationships between individuals in society in different fields, whether overt or deceptive to arrive at how dominance is reproduced in Abu Al-Rish 's narrative? and how can female habitus be fixed and not change?
