The desert in the modern Algerian novel Between the real and the miraculous

Abstract
This article examines the presence of the desert in the modern Algerian novel from two perspectives: an external perspective represented by novelists who do not belong to it, who see it as a wondrous space through which they address some problems through philosophical contemplation, and a perspective that represents an internal vision represented by a new generation of novelists who geographically belong to the desert and see in it A living reality whose issues are presented according to a realistic vision, that is, the desert appears in the modern Algerian novel from two imaginative perspectives: the first is a wondrous one that sees the desert as a space for enjoyment, and the second is realistic and raises the historical and life issues of this space.
