The Image of the African Muslim Woman in the Novel "Don't Say You're Afraid" by Giuseppe Catozzella

Abstract
This research paper attempts to identify the problem of the presence of the African ego in the literature of the Western Other by monitoring the image of African Muslim women in the novel Don't Say You're Afraid by the Italian novelist Giuseppe Catozzella, and identifying their intellectual and artistic features in this translated Western novel in light of wars, social and political turmoil, and sectarian and religious conflict that Somali society has witnessed. The study shows Giuseppe Catozzella's vision for Africans in general and Somali Muslim women in particular, who seek through migration to achieve their dreams and change their miserable reality in the chosen novel, and to be a model of challenge and resistance.
