Abstract
This study aims to provide a deep analysis of the East-West relationship as presented in the book Hadith Isa ibn Hisham by al-Muwaylihi. This work serves as an open discourse that reflects the political, social, and moral perspectives of the author regarding Egyptian reality. It specifically focuses on the period following Napoleon Bonaparte's French campaign in Egypt (1798–1801), followed by British occupation. The study examines the encounter between East and West from multiple dimensions. Al-Muwaylihi draws on various religious, historical, and moral references to explore this relationship, particularly in light of the transformations that occurred in Egypt at the beginning of the 19th century.
