Abstract

This article seeks, through an integrated synthetic approach, to identify the most prominent characteristics of women's literature in Algeria; by addressing the study of the structural elements of the narrative (personal structure, temporal and spatial structure). The results of this study come from an approach of psychological dimensions that relies on the tools of psychoanalysis, to reveal the narrative structures in the story (The Smile of Life) by the pioneer of Algerian feminist writing (Zulikha Al-Saudi: 1943-1972).
