Abstract

Titles are of great importance in creative writing, especially the poetic ones for they are like magic keys that enable the readers to get into the text’s realms as the old statement goes, a book is judged by its cover. Modern criticism has been able to reveal a new strategic field related to the science of text which is the science of title or what used to be called in French ‘titrologie’. The title has also different functions that are defined, as Jacobson describes, by the relationship between the addresser (the creative) and the addressee (the reader). Unfortunately, the title remains a puzzling and confusing question that refers to an infinite number of denotations that enrich the text, determine the writers’ intentions and even answer many questions raised by the reader. It will be the role of this research to the preoccupation of the titles in aesthetic levels, which we see as the most pressing of the signs of the bull; based on references of heritage; especially to contemporary Moroccan poets, they came to care for it and gave it space that intersects and corresponds to the contents of the poetic tone, From nostalgia, pain, love, hope, prophecy and foresight, and other topics learned from the context o many f the texts.
