Abstract

This study attempts to reveal the impact of the use of folk heritage in Algerian theater through two pioneering experiences by Ould Abderahman Kaki and Abdelkader Alloula. It explains how each of them dealt with this heritage in order to establish an authentic Algerian theatrical experience. and concludes by discussing the audience's interaction and response to folk heritage theater and its role in spreading theatrical awareness. The study concluded that Kaki and Alloula's experiments in engaging with and employing folk heritage in an artistic manner were successful, demonstrating their seriousness in creating an authentic Algerian theatre that suits the tastes of Algerian audiences and expresses their issues and concerns.
