Language practice in higher education- The Algerian University as a model

Abstract

This keeps its institutions constantly striving to develop their performance and production by enabling them to possess the language of science and knowledge, thus becoming a source of scientific and knowledge production. The study aims to investigate the linguistic policy of the Algerian university, in its quest to possess the language of science in light of the specificity of the linguistic situation that places it in the face of linguistic multiplicity between Arabic, French and English, so that linguistic practice at the Algerian university takes a path whose procedures contradict each other, when looking at how linguistic policy has been implemented from Independence until today, in light of the presence of an official Arabic language.
