Madour" Mdaourouch" as a metropolis of literature and philosophy in antiquity

Abstract
There are many Algerian cities that have contributed to the construction of civilization through the ages, including the metropolis of Madour Mdourouch in the city of Souk Ahras, in which the oldest universities in the African and Mediterranean regions were established and was a destination for various scholars and writers. During that, we preserve our identity and heritage. As for the results, they are summarized in the scientific and intellectual importance that characterized the city of Madour and its global reputation in the aspects of literature and philosophy. It is sufficient that this city gave birth to the writer Apuleius, ahead of his time, and the philosopher Augustine, as the latter is considered the mainstay of Catholic Christian theology
